Volunteer profile – Jean Boudreault

September 14, 2016

Meet Jean Boudreault, a member of our Quebec Advisory Committee.

After a 30-year career working in the environmental field for a large engineering firm in Quebec,

Boudreault said he is involved because of his love for the Atlantic salmon. Boudreault decided to move on and use his knowledge of the environment in another way. He is currently the president of the Quebec Federation for Atlantic Salmon; he became involved with the ASCF two years ago noting it felt quite natural to do so.

I am committed to be the voice of the salmon,” he said. “There are so many threats to their habitat and survival at sea, that is why I am committed.”

For me the job is not yet done, in Quebec and Canada. I trust the next generation will be there to continue.”

Boudreault said the ASCF, and all environmental foundations, play an important role in protection and conservation.

I encourage all men and women with an environmental conscience to be actively involved. It is through volunteering that we will protect our environment!

Volunteers are crucial to the work ASCF does, and each month we will introduce you to one of our stellar volunteers to say thank you for all the work they do in Atlantic salmon conservation.
