During 2008 we have completed the update of the portrait of the Ouelle Watershed and prepared an action plan to ensure the protection of Atlantic salmon. This portrait gathers information affecting the watershed gathered from several departments and agencies. This is the first comprehensive portrait which follows a preliminary portrait made in 2004. It will pave the way for better watershed management, in order to reduce conflicts of possible uses and reduce the impact of the factors limiting the full potential of population of the Atlantic salmon that breed there.
