Evaluation and strategic planning in the Grande Rivière Tracadie watershed.

Summary: The project will start with an assessment of 4 watercourses to develop a management plan for each one of them. Watercourses sedimentation in our watersheds is a major limiting factor for Atlantic salmon habitat. The management plan will be focussed mainly on reducing sediments. Other problematic factors will be characterized and a priority list will be developed to control, reduce and eliminate those sediments. The 2nd and 3rd year of the project will emphasize the implementation of an action plan developed during the 1st year.
Approved amount: $10,000 (1st year of 3 year project, total: $30,000)
