Connect and improve fish habitat restored sites that were established in the Mill creek and Black river 15 years ago.

Recipient: Southeastern Anglers Association Inc.
Approved Amount: $7,500
Year Approved: 2014

In recent years, Mill creek and Black river have been negatively affected by habitat fragmentation due to improper culvert installation, poor habitat in corridors between restored sites and the ineffectiveness of some restoration structures. This year, SAA will be working to address habitat restoration work on the Mill creek and Black river. We are convinced that new restoration techniques developed since will help us improve fish habitat in Mill creek and Black river. The principal objective will be to link together previous restored sites and create longer sections of healthy fish habitat.
