Restoration of Spawning and Rearing Habitat, Including Accessibility, for Atlantic Salmon in the West
CQWF has cleaned out an existing sediment trap, built 15 brushmats, cleared alders and other obstructions from 3.5 km of stream, and planted 1,780 native trees and shrubs. Six logs have been added to stream reaches flushed of sediment last year. Education and outreach efforts have been successful with several volunteer events and a new website.
