Restoration and enhancement of Atlantic salmon habitat in the Gouffre River

The total project enabled the removal of all obstructions in the area of the inventory, that is a distance of 10 kilometres. All fallen trees were also removed from the river. All spawning sites are now accessible to salmon and work will be monitored this fall to assess the abundance of the reproduction sites.
