Southwest Mabou River restoration plan – phase II

Recipient: Inverness South Anglers Association
Approved Amount: $10,000

ISAA has three objectives for 2018: 1) Complete the Southwest Mabou River watercourse restoration plan; 2) Ensure continuous migratory fish access to enhanced spawning and holding grounds under ISAA’s proactive management; 3) Complete the 3-year Graham’s River watercourse restoration plan and secure a 5-year stock enhancement monitoring program.
ISAA will complete a stepwise comprehensive plan and move on to securing multi-year implementation funding from our current and new brick and mortar sponsors, both public and private.
Funding for our labour force will ensure migratory access to existing and natural and enhanced spawning and holding grounds will be matched with DFO-RFCPP, NSAA-AAS, and Wild Salmon Unlimited funds to ensure that this work is done in a timely fashion.
