Little River Restoration Project

This project will include the following activities: survey of previously constructed instream structures with any required repairs or modifications, a new partnership with the Confederation of Mainland Mi’kmaq – Mi’kmaw Conservation Group to conduct surveys and mitigate habitat obstructions, continue restoration project on the Little River, construction of instream structures, plant native trees and grasses, and prepare and deliver oral presentations  aimed at local residents.  We will also undertake school presentations, “Fish Friends Program”, and host “River Walks” showcasing CSA’s restoration work and the improvement this project will have on local fish populations and recovery of IBoF Atlantic Salmon populations.
