Exploits River Tributaries Restoration 2013

Recipient: Environment Resources Management Association
Approved Amount: $8,700
Year Approved: 2013

This project will continue ERMA’s efforts of past years to address sites that are considered to be on the priority list for restoration on the tributaries of the Exploits River. The remains of the old wooden structures and drowned pulpwood will be removed from the streams and placed above the high water mark to prevent re-entry into the streams.  All work will be completed by manpower without any equipment usage in the water.  Restoration work completed on the Exploits River with similar projects has proven that fish populations will utilize this newly restored habitat.
