Evaluation and strategic planning in Petite rivière Tracadie watershed

The project will start with the evaluation of 4 watercourses to develop a management plan for each watercourse. The sedimentation of our watersheds watercourses is a big limiting factor for Atlantic salmon habitat. The main focus of the management plan will be the reduction of sediments. Other problem factors will be characterized and a priority list will be developed to control, reduce or eliminate them. The second year and third year of the project will be focussed on implementing the action plan developed during the first year.
