C\u2019est effectivement une ann\u00e9e qui s\u2019annonce bien pour la Fondation, compte tenu des plus de 90\u00a0excellentes demandes de financement que nous avons re\u00e7ues. C\u2019est en janvier et f\u00e9vrier que nos comit\u00e9s consultatifs d\u2019experts se r\u00e9unissent pour \u00e9tudier les demandes et recommander les projets qui devraient \u00eatre financ\u00e9s. Nous esp\u00e9rons pouvoir aviser les b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiaires du financement de 2015 d\u2019ici la fin de mars, afin de leur permettre de faire leur planification pour la saison des travaux sur le terrain.<\/p>\n<p>Dans le pr\u00e9sent bulletin, nous sommes heureux de vous parler d\u2019un de nos plus importants projets et de vous pr\u00e9senter un de nos b\u00e9n\u00e9voles ayant le plus d\u2019anciennet\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Le projet du ruisseau Rattling dans un tributaire de la rivi\u00e8re Exploits, au centre de Terre-Neuve, est le plus grand projet \u00e0 long terme que nous avons subventionn\u00e9. C\u2019est un projet important pour la conservation du saumon pour plusieurs raisons, en particulier parce qu\u2019il a permis d\u2019ouvrir presque 5\u00a0millions (oui, 5 millions!) de m\u00e8tres carr\u00e9s d\u2019habitat du saumon. Cette initiative pr\u00e9sente un \u00e9norme potentiel quand il s\u2019agit de renforcer les populations de saumon au Canada atlantique.<\/p>\n<p>Le bulletin pr\u00e9sente aussi le profil d\u2019un des b\u00e9n\u00e9voles experts qui compte le plus d\u2019ann\u00e9es de service. \u00c0 titre de membre de notre Comit\u00e9 consultatif central, Peter Cronin a jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le crucial dans l\u2019\u00e9laboration des politiques de la Fondation, et il a contribu\u00e9 au choix de projets de conservation importants. Nous sommes honor\u00e9s de pouvoir compter sur l\u2019aide de Peter et de ses coll\u00e8gues du Comit\u00e9 consultatif central pour prendre des d\u00e9cisions judicieuses en mati\u00e8re de financement.<\/p>\n<p>Nous, \u00e0 la Fondation, envisageons 2015 avec beaucoup d\u2019enthousiasme.
