Ongoing restoration of endangered inner Bay of Fundy Atlantic salmon to the Petitcodiac River

The goal of this project is to carry out inner Bay of Fundy Atlantic (iBoF) salmon recovery actions on Petitcodiac River tributaries including fry releases into nursery habitat of Petitcodiac watershed; installing, monitoring and implementing a mark-recapture protocol on counting fences targeting salmon smolts on Pollett and Little Rivers; collecting and transporting smolt to Fundy Salmon Recover marine conservation farm; maintaining adult salmon antenna detection array on Pollett River; carrying out juvenile salmon assessment via electro-fishing surveys; carrying out adult salmon enumeration snorkel surveys; releasing Fundy Salmon Recvoery adult salmon to Petitcodiac; releasing non-target LGB adult salmon to Petitcodiac; carrying out redd surveys; collecting fall parr for overwintering at MBF; and public outreach and engagement.  All activities contributing to the continuing strategy & objective of realizing higher presence, at all life stages, of endangered iBoF Atlantic salmon in the Petitcodiac River watershed working towards achieving historic levels.
