Project Title: Trout River Enhancement Project. Enhancement on 3 tributaries, beaver dam and debris removal, installation of brush mats.
Approved Grant Amount for 2010: $6829.00

Summary:
The planned work for 2010 will focus on assuring salmon access to all three major branches of Trout River and reducing sediment issues. (As per recommendations 1-5 for Trout River: Conservation Strategy for Atlantic Salmon in Prince Edward Island: Guignion, 2009). Selective debris removal was carried out on the Barclay Brook in 2009, brush mats installed, and three sediment traps excavated. With this accomplished the attention in 2010 will turn to the Kennedy Creek and North Branch.
